Andrew Tan

Andrew Tan is an Associate Director for the Center of Neuroscience and Regeneration Research and a Principal Investigator in the Spinal Cord Injury/Disease Research Program at the Connecticut, West Haven VA Medical Center. He also holds a faculty position in the Department of Neurology at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Tan’s research interests focus on mechanisms underlying neuropathic pain and intractable spasticity after neurotrauma.

Notably, in his available personal time, he has explored many creative outlets, tangential to his scientific pursuits. He has published most of what he finds in his blog at tangibleday.com, which he started in 2012. Much of this information are outworking of his experiences in the miniature painting and hobby gaming communities; but have expanded into other areas such as photography, 3D printing, and other topics related to art, popular culture, and technology.
