Marissa Dean
With a Ph.D. in sociology and a Master's Degree in Public Administration and Organizational Development, Marissa Dean’s career spans a diverse spectrum of experience. For more than 25 years, she has worked internationally as a teaching and research consultant as well as an analyst and writer for a number of US governmental agencies.
More recently, Marissa has focused her attention on researching the many ways digital technologies are altering longstanding communication systems across the globe. Her area of expertise includes exploring the multidimensional impact these innovations have on social and business structures today. She recently joined Thomas as an expert contributor and sociologist-at-large, specializing in how technology is redefining US manufacturing in the 21st century.
